You vape, bro? Well if you vape flower, hopefully you have been saving your AVB (already vaped bud) for some additional fun. Already vaped bud is the leftover flower you get after vaping in a portable or desktop vaporizer, such as a Pax or Volcano Vaporizer. While it is super easy to throw away, AVB still contains roughly 20-30% of the THC and other cannabinoids from your flower. That means with a few simple recipes, you can fully enjoy the rest of your weed. Not only is AVB super easy to infuse in your food, it also still gets you extremely high. Still interested?
Here are two AVB cooking hacks to try:
1. Ground AVB
Simply grounding up your AVB is a really easy baking hack if you want to make edibles quickly. Place AVB directly into the batter of your brownies, cakes, muffins or whatever else. Just be aware that you maybe able to taste some of the weed. We recommend that you use ½ cup of ABV which is about 114 grams. So if you make 12 muffins each one should be around 10 grams each. However, each batch may be different so take caution in how much you eat. Like any other edible, take a little time to wait a couple of hours before you eat another one.
Recipe:
1) Pick an awesome recipe for your desired weed-infused dessert.
2) grind ½ cup of ABV into a very thin powder. The thinner the better. If you don’t grind the ABV down you will end up getting unpleasant chunks of stems and bud in you dessert.
3) mix the ground ABV into the batter and continue with the normal recipe. We usually add it at the end, but you can also add it in with all of the dry ingredients. *the dessert should not taste any different but you may notice a slight weed smell in the air when it is baking*
2. ABV Oil
Another effective hack requires mixing your AVB with vegetable or cooking oil. Using this method makes it easier to combine with different recipes and does not require you to grind up your AVB. The resulting cannabis oil can be substituted for anything that requires vegetable oil or cooking oil, or can be drizzled on an existing dish.
Recipe:
1) Pour 1 cup of vegetable or canola oil into the saucepan
2) Place ABV in saucepan with oil. Again, we recommend ½ cup to begin with just because it is a good point of reference
3 ) Adjust temperature to bring oil and AVB to a simmer. Turn heat down if mixture begins to boil.
4) Remove from heat and let the oil cool.
5) Use a cheesecloth or a sieve to strain the oil from the ABV.
6) Store the oil in a airtight container and use at you own discretion.
We hope you enjoy using your AVB!
